Hood River Tattoo provides a unique tattooing experience that is centered around customization and quality. We are artists foremost who have chosen tattooing as a medium to create some amazing art. When requesting an appointment with us please keep in mind that we are a non-traditional tattoo studio, with a focus on our client's vision and artistic goals... and that we do not take walk-ins.
Please note that we are appointment only with many inquiries and busy schedules and that we will get to you as soon as possible.
We will start with scheduling a consultation with you - from there we can thoroughly understand the tattoo you are visioning for yourself and through that process be able to give you an accurate price quote.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND WHEN MAKING YOUR APPOINTMENT-
It is an officially unwritten rule that if you meet with one of us regarding your artwork THAT WILL BE THE ARTIST TO DO THE ART.
We are always down to work on a collaboration piece- and just because you are getting tattooed by one of us DOES NOT MEAN that you cannot get tattooed by both of us!
We are very close friends who tattoo not only one another but also clients that get work done by both of us in different areas of their bodies.
What we do ask though, is not to waste our mental artistic brainspace by getting one of us excited about a project with you to then book the other one of us.

The consequence of doing this will end in a sad breakup on your part and some weird witchy shit we can't explain.

BEFORE MY APPOINTMENT
SKIN CONDITION - Check the area of where you are wanting to get tattooed before coming in, please. We cannot tattoo you if you have bruising, hives, sunburn, Columbia River Algae Fungus (y'all kiters/surfers know what we're talking about), open sores, cuts or any sort of skin issue. Please let us know ahead of time, or check-in ahead of time with us prior to your appointment.

NUMBING?! AN OPTION? - Numbing cream is totally an option, however, it's in your hands. If you are wanting to go this route we recommend NUMB 520, you can find this product on amazon. If you apply it about an hour before your appointment and wrap it with plastic wrap we can remove it when you get to your appointment and place the stencil. If you have lidocaine or plastic allergies do not, absolutely do not fucking do this. But, if you don't, it can take the edge off.

WHAT TO BRING? - Snacks, duh. We recommend non-stinky, non messy feel good snacks like crackers, nuts, or even a fresh baked cookie from a local coffee shop. WATER, please bring water. It is important to stay hydrated and drinking water will improve your skin elasticity as well and help in your healing process. We recommend to hydrate days before and after your tattoo so you give your skin the best chance to heal your amazing new art.
...Friends? Sure, bring a friend and let them know it will probably be pretty boring and ask them to be respectful of our creative space and time. Please leave your pets at home and if you have a therapy/service animal you plan to bring please notify your artist while scheduling your appointment. Leave your kids and minors at home, you must be at least 18 years of age to be in the working tattoo studio (but we will glady send you home with temporatry tattoos for them!).

ALLERGIES... We generally use a saniderm bandage for your aftercare - it is a clear bandage you wear for 48 hours and then peel off/replace. If you have any known skin sensitivities (this will be a question in your waiver paperwork) please let us know in advance so we can be prepared. If you have any known adhesive allergies you should absolutely not use the bandage at all and please notify us ahead of time or at the time of your appointment.
